SIS' SOCIAL ROOM
Our Social Room is a welcoming space for everyone to relax, play, and connect. Enjoy games, movies, creative activities, and comfy areas to unwind with new friends!
What does our social room offer?
Unlike many other language schools, SIS proudly offers a dedicated social room for Teenage and Young Adult students to use for FREE! At certain times, other age groups also have access to this facility.
The Social Room is a vibrant, welcoming space where students can relax, have fun, and connect with new friends during breaks, afternoons, and evenings. Our staff supervise students in this building. It is conveniently located just 3 minutes from our main building, May Cottage, and only 2 minutes from our Teenage Department.
The room also offers FREE Wi-Fi and handy facilities such as microwaves, toastie machines, and a kettle - perfect for preparing snacks and drinks during breaks. It includes toilet facilities and is heated during the colder months, ensuring a comfortable and practical space for students!
Students can enjoy a wide range of activities in the main social room, including pool tables, table tennis, darts, and table football.
Just outside the social room, there’s additional space featuring a basketball net, swing ball, and small football goals.
For those who prefer to relax outdoors, we also provide a small amount of undercover seating and tables - perfect for hanging out rain or shine.
Our Creative Room offers a relaxed space for students to enjoy their downtime. Whether drawing, making jewellery, playing music, reading, playing board games, or watching a film on the small TV, there’s something for everyone.
We also have a Movie & Console Room (below), perfect for film nights and gaming sessions. Students can play on the PS4 or Nintendo Wii, or watch a DVD. This is another great space to relax, unwind, and enjoy time with new friends.
