Where can I stay in Sidmouth?
We can arrange homestay accommodation for you and our booking service is FREE.
Our homestay families take students only from Hello! Sidmouth so we can guarantee:
- No other students of the same nationality
- No overcrowding
- No mixing of adult, teenage/young Adult or young learner students

What does Homestay include?
Single or shared bedroom, breakfast and an evening meal. Homestay also offers you:
- The opportunity to live as part of a British family.
- The chance to practice English in everyday situations.
- A quiet and comfortable place to study.
Homestay Accommodation
Most of our homestays are within walking distance of the school (bus pass provided if further than 30 minutes) Breakfast and evening meals are included with a light lunch at weekends. Weekday lunches are not included; lunch is easily bought locally (allow £5 per day) and can be eaten at the school.
Adult (18+ yrs)
Single room: £240 per week
Teenage (14-17 yrs) & Young Adult (16-18 yrs)
Shared room: £230 per week
Please note:
- 18-year-olds on the Young Adult course will only be placed with other Young Adult students.
- Single room for teens/young adults - £20 per week (early booking essential)
- The school must be informed of all medical conditions and special diets.
Dietary Requirements: Add £50 per week for any of the following: Lactose Intolerant, Nut Allergy, Vegan, Gluten Free, Halal
Junior & Tween Homestay Accommodation
Special young learner homestay families are selected for these young students. Price includes a room, all meals (packed lunch on weekdays) and daily escorted transfers to and from school.
Junior & Tween (8-13 yrs)
Shared room: £265 per week
Please note:
- The large majority of our junior/tween students are placed outside of Sidmouth.
- The school must be informed of all medical conditions and special diets.
Dietary Requirements: Add £50 per week for any of the following: Lactose Intolerant, Nut Allergy, Vegan, Gluten Free, Halal.
What checks do you do on host families taking students under the age of 18?
The safety and well-being of these young students is our top priority and we comply with the Child Protection legislation in the UK.
This includes;
- National police check (DBS), for all members of the family aged 18+
- Checks by the local Government Child Protection Agency
- Personal references and regular visits by our Accommodation Officer.
Do you have dedicated accommodation for Juniors/Tweens?
Yes, we have special homestay families who only take our junior/tweens. All meals and travel to and from school are included.
What if I don't want Homestay accommodation?
Self-catering is popular with many of the families and individual students who come to Hello! Sidmouth every year and there are also many hotels and B&B's in Sidmouth. Please find below recommendations of alternative accommodation or click here for more information.
