Where can I stay in Sidmouth?
We can arrange homestay accommodation for you and our booking service is FREE.
Our homestay families take students only from SIS so we can guarantee:
No other students of the same nationality
No overcrowding
No mixing of Adult, Teenage/Young Adult and Junior students

We can also provide information about self-catering , hotel and B&B accommodations.

What does Homestay include?
Single or shared bedroom, breakfast and an evening meal. Homestay also offers you:

Homestay Accommodation
Most of our homestays are within walking distance of the school. Breakfast and evening meals are included with a light lunch at weekends. Weekday lunches are not included; lunch is easily bought locally (allow £5 per day) and can be eaten at the school.

Standard single room: £240 per week (Available all year)
> Teenage (13-17 years) & Young Adult (16-18 years)
Standard single room: £240 per week (Low Season Only)
*Standard shared room: £230 per week (Peak Season & Easter)
*Please note: during peak season & Easter, Teenage/Young Adult students will be placed in a standard room (single or twin) by age, nationality, and gender. To maximise homestay capacity, the school will place students in single or shared rooms depending on availability. 18-year-olds on the Young Adult course will not be placed in the same homestay with under-18s.
The school must be informed of all medical conditions and special diets.
Dietary Requirements: Add £50 per week for any of the following: Lactose Intolerant, Nut Allergy, Vegan, Gluten Free

Junior & Tween Homestay Accommodation
Special Junior homestay families are selected for these young students. Price includes a room, all meals (packed lunch on weekdays) and daily escorted transfers to and from school. Please note, all our Junior/Tween homestays are situated outside of Sidmouth.

> Junior & Tween (8-13) shared room: £255 per week
The school must be informed of all medical conditions and special diets. A supplement will be charged.

What checks do you do on host families taking students under the age of 18?
The safety and well-being of these young students is our top priority and we comply with the Child Protection legislation in the UK.
This includes;
National police check (DBS), for all members of the family aged 16+
Checks by the local Government Child Protection Agency
Personal references and regular visits by our Accommodation Officer.

Do you have dedicated accommodation for Juniors/Tweens?
Yes, we have special homestay families who only take our Junior/Tweens. These families have children of their own and have experience of looking after our younger students. All meals and travel to and from school are included.

What if I don't want Homestay accommodation?
Self-catering is popular with many of the families and individual students who come to SIS every year and there are also many hotels and B&B's in Sidmouth. Please find below recommendations of alternative accommodation.
