SCHOOL CAR OR TAXI

We can arrange for a car to collect students from any location in the UK. Prices per car for single journeys are as follows-

Other prices on request. Our car can hold 3-7 persons; it is sometimes possible for the school to arrange for students to share a car but this cannot be guaranteed.

PUBLIC BUS

National Express operates an excellent fast coach service (No. 501) between Heathrow & Gatwick Airport coach station and Exeter coach station, with departure times approximately every 2 hours throughout the year. Service includes hostess, coffee, toilet, etc.

A return ticket costs £35. Please contact SIS for timetable.

Half-hourly bus service from Exeter coach station to Sidmouth.
From Gatwick & Stanstead there is a frequent Jet-Link bus to Heathrow.

FREE S.I.S BUS (all year):

The School operates a free bus service between London Heathrow Airport and Sidmouth each Saturday.
Reservations must be made at least one week in advance.

Timetable:

Depart Sidmouth 08.00 Arrive Heathrow 12.00

Depart Heathrow 17.00 Arrive Sidmouth 20.30

Arrival times are approximate. SIS can in no way be held responsible for any late arrivals and departures.

Arriving students should meet our representatives before 16.30 at Terminal 1 or Terminal 5 meeting points; the School will tell you which one to use and send detailed joining instructions. Please sure that your flight arrives with sufficient time for you to clear Immigration and reach the meeting point - the bus cannot wait! Detailed joining instructions will be sent after booking.

ESCORT SERVICE FOR FREE BUS

This service is available for younger students travelling on Saturdays between London Heathrow Airport and Sidmouth.

Our representatives will be at the airport between 1200 hrs and 1700 hrs only.

Arrivals: £30 each way for ages 14-15 years, £40 each way for ages 16-17 years. Students will be met from their flight by our representative and put on our free school bus.They will be accompanied to Sidmouth , where they will be met by their host families. FLIGHTS MUST ARRIVE BETWEEN 12.30 AND 15.30.

Departures: £30 each way for ages 14-15 years, £40 each way for ages 16-17 years. Students will be transferred from their host families to the SIS free bus and accompanied to Heathrow Airport by our representative , who will check them onto their flight. FLIGHTS MUST DEPART BETWEEN 13.00 AND 16.00, to fit in with SIS bus timetable.

Regular shuttle buses link Gatwick to Heathrow airport every 15 minutes (journey time 90 minutes; price £40.00 return) and also link Stanstead to Heathrow airport every 30 minutes (journey time 85 minutes; price £30.00 return). 50% discount for age 16 and under.
