Courses for Overseas Teachers of English

Sidmouth International School is an active teacher training centre and offers developmental courses for native- and non-native-speaker teachers of English

Courses for closed groups of teachers

We can design special courses for closed groups of teachers at any time throughout the year.

Courses include language development, methodology, materials etc. Courses for one, two or three weeks, mornings only (20 sessions per week) or full day (30 sessions). Sessions include lectures, workshops and seminars.

Course fees from £260 per week:
including tuition, homestay accommodation, social programme & escorted transfers from point of arrival. Ask school for a quotation.

Courses for individual teachers of English

We offer courses for individual teachers of English all year round. Minimum one week. Language and/or methodology development courses designed to meet the specific needs of teachers.

• Courses for teachers still training

Language development in mixed-nationality groups, 15 hours per week. Specialist ELT sessions 6 hours per week. Class observations and follow-up discussions can be arranged.

Course fee per week:	£225.00
Summer Supplement (June, July, August)	add £50.00 per week

Group Offer

• Minimum of 10 students *
• No minimum stay
• Courses in summer start on Mondays only

Tuition:
15 hours (20 lessons) per week in classes of up to 15 students. Groups will generally be 'closed' but will be mixed-nationality when possible; this will be most likely in the summer.

Accommodation:* *
Shared homestay rooms for teenagers and juniors, single rooms for adults. Includes breakfast and dinner, light lunch at weekends.

Leisure:
Full-day excursion on non-transfer Saturdays, half-day excursions on Thursdays. Typical destinations: Plymouth, Torquay, Exeter, Bath, Bristol, etc. London trips are also available.

Social:
Weekly disco or other evening entertainment, sports centre visit, cliff-top walks, beach barbecues, quiz and international evenings, etc. according to season. Farewell party [for closed groups only].

Travel:
Meet & greet at London airport. Escorted coach travel to and from Sidmouth. Homestay families meet coach on arrival.

Leader:
Free lessons and transfer for one leader for 10-14 students. Free lessons and transfer, plus accommodation and meals, for one leader every 15 students.
