TEENAGE VACATION COURSE (14 - 17 years)

Course fees include :

• First day test to ensure correct class level
• 20 lessons (15 hours) of tuition per week, mornings only (09.00-12.30, Monday to Friday)
• Mixed nationality classes, maximum 15 students
• Six language levels from beginner to advanced
• All tuition materials, end-of-course certificate

• FREE accommodation booking service with homestay families exclusive to the school

YOUNG ADULT VACATION COURSE (16-18 years)

These courses are based in the adult department and are for the more mature, well-motivated student in this age group. Small classes of maximum 9 students ensure a high level of individual attention. Full social programme included.

Free escorted SIS coach transfer to/from Heathrow Airport every Saturday.
Escorted London day-trips and overnight stays. Ask School for details.

TEENAGE INTENSIVE COURSE (14 -17 years)

This course is designed for students who have specific individual needs and/or those who wish to rapidly improve their English language knowledge. The teaching focuses on the aims and interests of the students and encourages each student to develop their full potential. All four language skills are practised in class and effective communication is encouraged alongside both accuracy and fluency. Homework is set and marked regularly.

• Total 21 hours tuition per week
• 20 lessons (15 hours) of group tuition in English language (09.00–12.30, Monday to Friday) maximum 9 students per class (15 in summer
• 8 lessons (6 hours) of English language tuition (13.30–15.30, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) maximum 9 students per class all year
• FREE airport transfers on Saturdays (see below)
• Guided independent learning and advice on study skills
• Personal tutor (4 weeks or more)
• Full social, cultural and sports programme
• All tuition materials and books
• Opportunity to enter for EFL examinations (exam fees extra)

• Rest of Year £320

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

The social programme includes a half-day excursion on Thursdays and a full-day excursion on Saturdays (except on weekend of departure). All entry fees included. Activities include various sports, arts and crafts, discos, beach barbecues etc.
Extra activities: these are not included in the fees and are offered occasionally, e.g. London excursion (£60), paintballing (£25) etc. They are an alternative to the free social programme and do not replace it.

TEENAGE ACCOMMODATION

Our homestay families only take students from SIS so we can guarantee: no other students of the same nationality; no overcrowding; no adult or junior students. All families hosting students under the age of 18 are checked by a local government agency and regularly inspected by the School. Most homestays are an easy walk from the school. Breakfast and evening meals included, with light lunch at weekends.

Transfers

Transfers to and from London Heathrow Airport or other ports of entry can be arranged by SIS. Experienced School drivers will meet students at arrivals gate, and assist with check-in on departure.

Free escorted school bus service on Saturdays.
Heathrow - Sidmouth - Heathrow (the School can in no way be held responsible for any late arrivals or departures).

ARRIVALS:       Free bus leaves Heathrow 17:00

DEPARTURES: Free bus arrives Heathrow at 12:00 approximately

Average journey time 2.5 hours

Regular shuttle buses link Gatwick to Heathrow airport every 15 minutes (journey time 90 minutes) and also link Stansted to Heathrow airport every 30 minutes (journey time 85 minutes)
