Courses for Overseas Teachers of English

Sidmouth International School is an active teacher training centre and offers developmental courses for native-speaker and non-native-speaker teachers of English.

CAMBRIDGE TKT COURSES

We are a Cambridge examinations centre and offer courses leading to the Teaching Knowledge Test modules.

Scheduled 2 week courses:

• 25 January – 5 February £590
• 21 June – 2 July £710
• 16 August - 27 August £710

Closed group courses for teachers year-round by arrangement.

Courses cover the wide range of language awareness and methodology areas in the TKT syllabus. Closed group courses can be specially designed to include a particular focus on teaching Young Learners and/or on CLIL.

COURSES FOR INDIVIDUAL TEACHERS OF ENGLISH

We offer courses for individual teachers of English all year round. Minimum one week. Language and/or methodology development courses designed to meet the specific needs of teachers.

• Courses for qualified and experienced teachers of English
• Courses for teachers still training

Language development in mixed-nationality groups, 15 hours per week. Specialist ELT sessions 6 hours per week. Class observations and follow-up discussions can be arranged. Total 21 hours per week.

Summer supplement (28 June - 27 August): add £55 per week
