Dates and Fees 2008 Course fee per week: 4 week minimum (8 weeks recommended) £315 This course, which SIS has been running for 30 years, has been specially designed to prepare students for entry to a UK boarding school or college; it provides intensive English language tuition and an introduction to British life and culture which will help them to adapt easily to long-term study in this country. Students develop their English language skills with the aid of a course book, and with supplementary work specifically chosen to address their individual needs. The school has also selected and designed a wide range of materials to familiarise students with the language they need to participate in lessons in school subjects. Each student has a personal tutor who closely monitors their progress. When appropriate, internationally-recognised examinations can be taken which give added focus to the course of study and useful information to future schools or colleges on the language level achieved. High Flier students stay with experienced host families who provide an ideal introduction to English life, making the transition to boarding school much easier. The social programme is designed to reflect and reinforce the classroom studies with educational visits and tours in addition to sports and leisure activities. Course fees include:

The School has an escorted bus every Saturday from/to London Heathrow Airport, with a meeting and check-in service for younger students available between specific times. There is also a school car service available: experienced School drivers will meet students at the arrivals gate and assist with check-in on departure. Please ask the School for a Transport Information Pack. The School can act as agent and will recommend and arrange specially selected homestay accommodation approved by Local Government. Our Homestay families only take students from SIS so we can guarantee: no other students of the same nationality; no overcrowding; students of similar age only. Students aged 14-17 years: Most homestays are an easy walk from the school. Breakfast and evening meal included, with light lunch at weekends. Long-term students are placed in single rooms.
Students aged 12-13 years: Junior homestay includes shared room, close supervision, all meals (packed lunch on school days), transport to and from school each day.
