HOW TO ENROL ON A COURSE

Choose your course and accommodation, complete the registration form and send it via the Internet so that we receive it immediately - you must then send a deposit of £200 and 2 passport-size photographs to SIS.

We will then send you:

Details of your accommodation Your invoice, from which you should deduct the £200 deposit. Information on insurance, what to bring with you etc.
An official letter of registration which will assist you to obtain a visa if necessary.

CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

Total course fee is to be paid 30 days before arrival. For bookings received less than 30 days before arrival, full payment must be made immediately upon receipt of invoice; accommodation cannot be booked until the fee is received.
The deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellation within 2 weeks of arrival will incur a charge of £100 in addition to the deposit. For courses booked for June, July and August, students cancelling within 30 days of arrival will be charged for the first 4 weeks tuition and accommodation*. Students curtailing their course, or changing to a course with a lower fee, will not be entitled to a refund*. The School strongly advises students to arrange insurance against cancellation or curtailment (SIS can arrange on request).
Full information on medical conditions and special diets must be disclosed at time of booking, and updated prior to arrival, or the School cannot guarantee accommodation.

Payment must be by one of the following methods:

Transfer direct by SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) from a bank in your country to our account No. 06041159, Sort Code: 55-50-06.
National Westminster Bank plc, 52 High Street, Sidmouth, Devon EX10 8LJ.
All charges paid by student.
A sterling cheque drawn on a uk bank.

*Extenuating circumstances will be considered by the Directors whose decision will be final.

The school reserves the right to expel any student without notice or refund should that student fail to comply with the high standards of behaviour expected at Sidmouth International School.

*Beginners MUST check with the school before booking, as group classes at this level are rare and students may have to have one-to-one lessons. Extra fees will be charged if the entry test shows that a student is a beginner and there is no group class available.

SIS can offer various transport services and will send full information with confirmation of booking. Junior students (under 14 years) travelling without an adult must use either the School car service or the escort + free bus service (see details below)

See course sheet for details. Arriving students should meet our representative by 16.30 at Terminal 2 Meeting Point located on the arrivals floor. A diagram will be sent with confirmation of enrolment.

Escort Service + Free bus
Available to students aged 8 - 15 (£30 arrival, £30 departure per person) and students aged 16 - 17 years (£40 arrival, £40 departure per person) - Heathrow only. Students will be met from their flight and escorted on the SIS free bus to Sidmouth; on departure they will travel on the SIS free bus with our representative who will check them onto their flight. Please ensure flights arrive between 12.00 and 15.30, and depart between 13.30 and 16.00, to fit in with the SIS bus timetable. In the event of a a child missing the bus (departure 17.30) due to delays flights etc. we will always leave an escort to meet and bring the child to Sidmouth. A minimum charge of £75 will be incurred.

BED-WETTING

If your child has a problem, please send an e-mail in confidence to our Accommodation Officer: barbara@sidmouth-int.co.uk . It is important that the host family is aware so that they can provide suitable bedding.

Additional laundry charges are from £3 per day. By providing us with this information, we hope to avoid having to charge you for replacing bed-linen (from £20) or mattress (from £150).
