SIS has over 20 years’ experience of successfully delivering General English and Business English courses and our teaching team is EFL-qualified to British Council requirements.
Sidmouth is a small seaside town with excellent hotels and amenities, and good travel links to London and local airports. It is a quiet, safe environment suitable for intensive study but with excellent facilities for relaxation available at local golf courses, restaurants etc.
SIS was established as an English language centre in 1976 and is fully accredited by the British Council. We have three departments in separate buildings for Adult, Teenage and Junior learners. The Business courses are all based in the adult department; however, business clients are welcome to bring their families, who can take courses to suit their own age and language level.

INDIVIDUAL COURSE – ONE-TO-ONE TUITION
Available 20-40 lessons per week
The opportunity to work intensively on specific individual needs; your course content will be determined by a detailed needs analysis which our Director of Studies can carry out by telephone or e-mail with you or your staff prior to arrival. Guidance is also available on the length of stay needed to meet your requirements and attain your objectives. A small team of qualified instructors will teach you, and your progress will be monitored throughout by the Director of Studies.

BUSINESS ENGLISH 2

GROUP GENERAL ENGLISH + ONE-TO-ONE BUSINESS ENGLISH
Available 20-40 lessons per week
20 or 28 lessons per week General English in groups of maximum 9 learners (av.4) of a similar English language level + 6 lessons one-to-one Business English
Many professionals would like to feel more confident when using English in meetings speaking on the telephone, reading and writing business correspondence and reports, and generally working in an international environment. This course helps to improve your skills. During the one-to-one sessions your tutor will work on your individual Business English requirements. (Extra one-to-one lessons can be added.)

We will design a special course to match your company’s requirements. This can be for single personnel, for groups requiring a common approach, or for groups with varied needs. We do this by detailed discussion between your Company and our Business English Consultant, who will visit your company site if necessary. |

CITY & GUILDS SPOKEN ENGLISH TEST FOR BUSINESS

This internationally-recognised qualification was developed for professionals using English in the workplace, and is a stand-alone test of Spoken English in a business context.
The Test can be taken at the School on completion of your course. |

Our homestay families only take students from SIS so we can guarantee: no other students of the same nationality; no overcrowding; no junior students. TRANSFERS
We provide a free escorted transfer to and from London Heathrow Airport every Saturday.
Arrivals: FREE SIS bus leaves Heathrow 17.00.
Departures: FREE SIS bus arrives Heathrow 12.00 approximately.
Travelling time 2.5 hours.
(The school can in no way be held responsible for any late arrivals or departures).
Shuttle buses:
Gatwick to Heathrow airport every 15 minutes (journey time 75 min);
Stansted to Heathrow every 30 minutes (journey time 105 min)
We can arrange an SIS car or a taxi to meet you at any UK location.
Transfers to and from London Heathrow Airport or other ports of entry can be arranged by SIS. Prices for single journeys to/from Sidmouth: £160 Heathrow; £175 Gatwick; £210 Stansted; £25 Exeter Airport; £95 Bristol Airport
We will provide details of public transport to suit you.
There is a frequent National Express coach service operating between Heathrow Airport and Exeter, and a regular train service from London Paddington and Waterloo to Exeter (Exeter-Sidmouth 30km).
